Kama

Kama is a screen printed zine that explores the history and importance of Kama, or pleasure, within the ancient religion of Hinduism.

Pleasure is a taboo subject in the South Asian community. The topic of sex is never discussed openly and many times sexual-liberation, especially in relation to women, is shamed. But upon further deliberation one can see the significance Kama had in earlier times. This zine captures the process of the Google search “is pleasure good or bad”.
